I have always created artwork and majoring in art and science enabled me to align my passions with my teaching career. Since retiring I have gained a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art and Visual Culture) from Curtin University and, committed to lifelong learning, I continue to explore and develop new ideas and techniques in my art practice. Concern for the ocean and natural environment on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula often informs my work. I regularly participate in art exhibitions and have twice been a finalist in the RSASA Solar Art Prize. Many of my works are privately owned in Australia and overseas. I am a member of Victor Harbor Regional Gallery and Victor Harbor Art Society. I work mainly in oil but also in acrylic, watercolour, pastel, charcoal and mixed media. |
